The economic downturn is definitely touching everybody. It appears that the Queenis running out of money for palace expenses.
So, Obama still sneaks the occasional cigarette? Eh. I’m not that concerned. Given the stresses of his job, if he only grabs an occaional cigarette (having been a habitual smoker in the past), he’s doing pretty good. It’s an extremely hard habit to break.
OK. Call me crazy, but when you basically steal $50 billion and ruin a lot of lives in the process, you don’t get to ask for 12 years in jail. (Which I think workds out to 1 year for every $4,166,666,666.67.) Well, you can ask, but…
It occurs to me lately, that I spend more time reading and promoting other people’s writing and ideas than I do working on my own. The result is that I spend most of my time helping others become more successful at what I want to do myself. I suppose I’m generating good karma of a sort. But does that mean I have to wait until the next lifetime for it to be my turn?
President Obama flooded with wedding invites? Hmm. Well, if we ever get married — legally, that is — I’ll send an invitation. But maybe I’ll address it to Mrs. Obama, and hope that she brings him along.
