- Two CPAC Disappointments
February 10, 2012 | 5:00 amI came away from CPAC a little disappointed yesterday, for two reasons:
- I missed the dating seminar, which would have been entertaining, if nothing else.
- With GOProud gone, I couldn’t find any gay people to hang out with — even gay right-wingers would have been bright spot.
On the up side, it looks like I may be partying with gay, Republican presidential candidate Fred Karger tonight.

I plead guilty to this When I got my iPhone 4, I gave Parker my old iPhone 3G (with parental controls in place, phone service deactivated, everything restored to factory settings, history wiped clean, and internet access and the App Store on lockdown) to play games on, etc. But does that make me a “Scrooge”? Puh-leeze. An eight-year-old needs the latest iPhone?

I think people going with free-range eggs is great in the sense that it shows awareness of the inhumane conditions chickens live in. Unfortunately, free-range isn’t the savior it seems to be. Here’s a link to a PDF flyer about what they call the free-range myth.
Ben & Jerry’s has some vegan options – their sorbets, which are delicious. But if you’re set on ice cream over sorbet, Soy Delicious puts me in a trance. I honestly don’t remember what ice cream tastes like, but I know SD, IMO, is as good as taste gets. Plus it’s all healthy & stuff.
Not trying to be a bubble-buster – I just wanted to throw in the food for thought. Pun intended.
