I totally agree with above statment "minoirty/blacks use certain other social or religious issues to somehow repay for what was done to us, yes us. I have seen even in my own race, growing up, i was pushed to the side because of my darker skin and hair texture and light skinned blacks that were either mixed or just light were mostly accepted. Instead of us coming together as a human race and attempting to find out the truth about Christ, sexuality as seen by God or just basically attempting to reach God as the human race, we are all just pushing the real issues aside and once again justfying our behavior. If i'm wrong then i'll admit it. I guess i don't have much to lose in sharing my sins or wrong doings as preachers, teachers, or politicians may have more to lose than I. Whatever happened to that "George Washington" spirit, tell the truth and shame the devil. I'm so tired of people trying to justify wrong. Wrong is wrong and right is right. God will take the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. I'm tired of hearing about the white church and the black church, why can't we just be the church???? As if one is better or worse than the other. Now i'm reminded why i left the Church at the age of 18. now 37, i see the same spiritual demons of hypocrisy and lies. After all these years nothing has changed, the only thing that has been constent is God's word, not my interpretation of God's word but the literal written word of God. If killing is wrong its wrong if stealing is wrong its wrong. cheating on my taxes still constitutes stealing, as oppose to me taking a handgun and robbing at gun point a jewelry store. There's no such thing as a white lie, a black lie, a asian lie, a mexican lie and lie is a lie is a lie. Jesus is not returning for a black church, or a white church or a hispanic church, or an asian church, he's returning for a church without a spot or blemish based on God's word and not man's vain, philosophical interpretation of God's word

peace out, Kit~

What I want to know is: if "a big part of male homosexual behavior is interest in young boys," as Stein claims, then why in the world did the GOP put its sole openly-gay man, Rep. Jim Kolbe (R-AZ), in charge of the page program for five years?

What the hell were they thinking?

[...] The big national news this week in the U. S. was the ongoing debacle of Mark Foley and the reeling but still struggling Republican leadership. The media is now highlighting the debate over whether the Foley case is a “gay issue.” My take is that it shouldn’t be a “gay issue,” but it is. The LGBT community is being forced to respond to the usual slew of homophobic drivel that follows such events. Since the case is all over the media, though, I won’t add any more links to major news channels. Instead, I’ll point to Terrance at Republic of T, who has a thoughtful analysis on the reaction of the black community to the scandal, and the lingering influence of historical black stereotypes. It’s a refreshing, if sobering, look at the Foley crisis and other matters of prejudice. (Terrance has actually written a number of posts on Foley, all of which are worth reading.)
