I found you letter while surfing the web and I would like to link it to my blog, which is something my husband I put together to support fathers who don't have rights or access to their children, regardless of their legal filings. I also have many gay and lesbian friends who contend with the issue of zero access to their kids after a breakup.

Can I have permission to reprint your letter to Ebony on my site?

Thanks,

Let Me Parent!

p.s. maybe you want to be interviewed for our documentary...? Would be great to have your voice and perspective represented.

I expected white America to blow sunshine my way anytime they have the chance' But' either you have lost your way, or you think we have lost ours.
There is no 3rd option' Since When Does an African Father and a White Mother
equal a Black American''' Were there any Obama's in your neighborhood''
You have an obligation to tell the people they are pushing this African down our
throat because he is detatched from the civil rights movement and white America is sick of hearing about it' If he was black as the ace of spades he would have been rejected' But since Charlie new he had to please black women
he sent you this cream colored Messiah who can't stand black people, and you ate it up'

T, what a wonderful letter. Thank you. I do hope they respond, but in any case, your letter is a joy to read, and very moving. Save it for your son, and thanks for the deep trust in fatherhood, its importance, and the commitment to being present that it takes.

You've changed my day T.

Thanks,

Nacho

What a beautiful and much-needed letter. I hope they really hear you and take action to be more inclusive in all of their articles.
