CLEARLY?!? It would be “clear” if there were some other voices or more promenent voices. When it comes time for the “Christian” viewpoint these are the folks that get trotted out. Fundementalist Christianity is even being echoed in the mainstream denominations (witness the splitting of the American Episcopal / Anglican churches).

Coulter’s remark about wishin John Edwards would be assassinated by terrorists

Good Morning America played the more of the alledged remark. It was in context of talking about a Bill Mahr comment wishing Cheney had been taken out in a terrorist attack. “I learned my lesson, I should just wish that John Edwards gets killed by a terrorist.” (Of course, they didn’t play the whole interview, so there’s no telling what else she said.)

She says enough legitimately outrageous things that we don’t need to parse statements to make her appear offensive.
