I relate to so much about this post. I was diagnosed with the non-hyperactive type of ADD in my thirties, as well, and I've had similar thoughts about whether I'll ever catch up to where I might have been... Every once in a while, though, I remember that those thoughts are, like so many others, simply another distraction. Your blog is greatly appreciated, traffic ratings aside. Wish I'd found it sooner.

Welcome to parenthood, honey. But the time crunch does get better along about the time the kids are in school.

On ADHD: I went to a fascinating conference, Learning and the Brain, in San Francisco:

http://www.edupr.com/

David Rabiner gave a presentaton on "ADHD, Attention, and Training" indicating that neurofeedback has promise as a treatment for ADHD.

Rabiner has a monthly email on the latest research on ADHD -- you can sign up at

http://www.helpforadd.com/

In his presentation, he indicated that the preliminary evidence for neurofeedback is good, as an effective remediation modality for ADHD.

The catch? It's expensive.
