In terms of what we can't afford to do in our communities and in this country until we stop shoveling $12B a month into a war that wasn't necessary in the first place, I think we &lt;em&gt;all&lt;/em&gt; pay a price, whether or not we pay taxes (and regardless of how much we pay.

Maybe it's the Buddhist in me, but if we don't at some point realize how interdependent we are on each other &#8212; up &lt;em&gt;and&lt;/em&gt; down the economic ladder &#8212; then we're pretty much doomed.</description>
