In terms of what we can&#039;t afford to do in our communities and in this country until we stop shoveling $12B a month into a war that wasn&#039;t necessary in the first place, I think we &lt;em&gt;all&lt;/em&gt; pay a price, whether or not we pay taxes (and regardless of how much we pay.

Maybe it&#039;s the Buddhist in me, but if we don&#039;t at some point realize how interdependent we are on each other &#8212; up &lt;em&gt;and&lt;/em&gt; down the economic ladder &#8212; then we&#039;re pretty much doomed.</description>
