Do you think she's there because of knowledge or experience? (I know women -- intelligent, capable women -- who have worked hard and had to be overqualified for every position they got just to have an equal shot at it. She's there because of her "narrative," of which being a woman is a significant factor. But her gender and her appearance are major factors in her ending up on the Republican ticket. Shallow, cynical choices, yes. But that's what they've done.
