Thank you so much, I came over from LesbianDad. As a gay mom of 2 in California, my only comfort at this moment is that my girls are far too young to understand what is happening much less asks questions. Your story, and the stories you related are the heart of why marriage equality matters and I hope very much that these stories, our stories, will finally be told.

I was so choked up when I told my sister about this that I could hardly get the words out. She teared up, too, when I told her … I hope we can make this right before Parker lives another six years.

“Won’t somebody please think of the children!?!?” obviously doesn’t apply to children of same-sex couples, or to LGBT children themselves. But the RRRW doesn’t care about them. The former aren’t part of “real” families and the latter just need to have the sin whipped out of them.
