I know this entry is a few weeks old, but I just had to compliment you on so neatly encapsulating the issue. The thing that bothers conservatives about gay marriage is that it will normalise us. But I also think that a lot of it has to do with all the repressed homosexuals in the Republican party. In gays, they see themselves and they don't know how to deal with it. Wow.
