They do best on average with a parent or parents who is/are educated (mother's education level is still a more important factor than dad's, although that could change), economically secure, and supported by family and community. It happens that two-parent families have those things on their side more often. It is not intrinsic. I've noticed these people saying "biological" now with absolutely no shame.
