I am weary of the butt-dragging and poor "not-ready-for-war-Consiglieri" on this issue here in Maryland. I get the idea that the Governor is weak and politically stupid, prior evidence notwithstanding, and that the Democrats in the Senate and House are simply not the good New England kind of late. It's really tiresome, especially in Baltimore County, where we have ambitious Democrats, timid Democrats, theocratic Democrats, Republican Democrats but so few committed liberal Democrats. I think we need a dozen more Madalenos, Pinskys, Mizeurs, Raskins and others whom I neglect to mention. Peace and be well. B. Cheers, T. If not now, when? When are Obama and Pelosi going to provide some leadership on this issue? This needs to be addressed at the federal level. Five states -- 20% -- now allow same-sex marriage. More will recognize other states' marriages. More states will approve same-sex marriage in the near future. That's CRYING OUT for some movement at the federal level.
