		<description>Congratulations! Can you pls write another post or explain here in the comments what kinds of protections you now have? For example, if you or your partner were to die (God forbid), would you or your kids receive his social security proceeds (as any heterosexual married couple would?). I&#039;m trying to find the specifics -- beyond the symbolism of marriage -- of what kinds of protections you will have for your partner and kids.
